How to delete pages from a PDF or Word document
Remove the pages you do not need — blanks, duplicates, an unwanted appendix — from a PDF or a Word document, and save the rest as a new file. Free, private, no sign-up.
When a PDF has more than you want to send, the quickest fix is to delete the extra pages. Click the pages to drop in the thumbnail view, or type a range like 3-5, 9, and check the preview of what remains before downloading.
Your original file is not touched — you download a new PDF, and the pages you keep are copied exactly.
Word documents (.docx, .doc) work too. A Word file has no fixed pages until it is laid out, so it is first converted on our server with the same engine as the Word to PDF tool — you then see every page exactly as it prints, remove the ones you do not want and download a PDF. If you need to keep editing, download it as a Word file instead; that copy is rebuilt from the pages, so spacing can shift slightly.
PDFs: The file is processed on your own device and never uploaded to a server. Word files are sent over a secure connection for the conversion and deleted straight after. If you want to keep fewer pages than you would remove, Extract Pages is faster.
Steps
- Add your PDF or Word document to the Remove Pages tool.
- Click the pages you want to delete, or type a range like 3-5.
- Check the preview of what remains.
- Download the trimmed PDF.
